Sustaining its efforts to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy in Hatay, Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım Anonim Şirketi (Toroslar EDAŞ) renovated the electricity distribution grid in Hüyük Neighbourhood, Arsuz with an investment of 5.7 million TL.
With the completion of the project initiated in May, the network components that have come to the end of their economic lives were replaced and a sustainable energy supply was provided in the region.
As part of the investment, Toroslar EDAŞ installed 15-km-long low voltage cable, 730 pcs. of galvanized iron poles, 18 distribution substations and 10-km-long common cable and also moved the required lines underground.
As part of the new grid investments of Toroslar EDAŞ to minimise power failures and quality problems, the distances between the source locations over the long lines have been shortened. Thus, the goal was to minimise the effects of power failures that may occur in the region due to seasonal conditions such as heavy rains or storms.
Higher-quality electricity for 3100 people
As part of the project, wooden poles were replaced with iron poles, while the number and capacity of distribution substations were increased. Besides, 23 new lighting poles were installed and the neighbourhood got better lighting.
Thanks to the investment, the grid was rehabilitated and higher quality and continuous energy is being provided to 3100 people residing in 1200 households.
