Toroslar EDAŞ focuses on its winter preparations in Osmaniye

Sustaining its efforts to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy under all circumstances, Toroslar EDAŞ keeps getting prepared for any adverse conditions that may be encountered during the winter season besides the continuously ongoing maintenance and investment operations in Osmaniye in 2022.

Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş (Toroslar EDAŞ) keeps analyzing the entire network with its 301 employees and 65 vehicles and continues its maintenance, renovation and investment activities at full speed in various villages and neighborhoods in 7 districts, including the city center, in order to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy in Osmaniye.

Sustaining its efforts throughout the year to prevent energy failures and to ensure that consumers enjoy a comfortable winter all around the city, Toroslar EDAŞ built 52 distribution transformers, 2 substations, 92 low voltage site distribution panels, and 24 concrete kiosks by a total budget of TL 155 million.

• Maintenance works of the vehicles completed, materials stored

Toroslar EDAŞ completed the maintenance works of 88 buildings, 75 pole-mounted transformers, 40 site distribution boxes and a 1145-km long line in addition to installing 21 cells, 1966 poles and 1247 lighting fixtures. Moreover, the company installed 75-km long underground cables and 25-km long energy transmission line with the goal to avoid power failures via alternative lines.

Toroslar EDAŞ is on duty 24/7 with its experienced field teams and keeps getting prepared for any failures and interruptions that may occur due to extraordinarily adverse winter conditions.

Thus, the company completed the required vehicle maintenance works to repair any failures as soon as possible with the disaster action plans prepared for weather-related disasters such as heavy snow or storms, while also storing the technical materials that may be required for repairing those failures in the logistics service centers.

• Support teams ready to respond

Toroslar EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies of Enerjisa Enerji together with Başkent EDAŞ and Ayedaş, also serves in Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis and Mersin besides Osmaniye.

In the event of any forecasts indicating extraordinary weather conditions such as heavy snowfall, storms or floods in any of the cities that the company provides service, the company can call support teams from other cities it serves or from other Enerjisa Distribution Companies.

If such weather conditions occur, Toroslar EDAŞ can transfer the aforementioned support teams equipped with the required tools and equipment to the disaster areas as quickly as possible to be able to provide uninterrupted energy.
