Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (Toroslar EDAŞ) has the goal to meet the increasing energy demand of the Adana uninterruptedly and in high quality with its investment projects carried out in the region. As part of the project, the company completed its TL 4-million-worth investment in Yüreğir by the end of October 2022.
In line with the project, which was initiated by Yüreğir Municipality in Adana as part of the "Street Rehabilitation Project", Toroslar EDAŞ moved the overhead lines that have completed their economic lives underground in 3937 Street in Yavuzlar District.
With the investment carried out in Akincilar District in Yüreğir, Adana, the purpose of Toroslar EDAŞ was to enable access of local residents to higher quality and uninterrupted energy by moving the HV overhead lines in the region underground.
Replacing the existing HV overhead grid line and the LV overhead lines with the underground lines and establishing new substations, the overall purpose of Toroslar EDAŞ was to prevent the distribution grid to be affected by adverse weather conditions and to improve supply continuity through the investments carried out on the distribution lines.
As part of the project, Toroslar EDAŞ installed a 1000kVA substation, 8-km long underground cable, 11 site distribution panels, 19 lighting poles, and dismantled the existing overhead lines in 3937 Street, which was known as the "Old Cinema Street".
In electricity distribution infrastructure investments, power cuts are scheduled in advance by Toroslar EDAŞ for the safety of field workers. To avoid any adverse impact on customers, these scheduled outages are announced on the website of Toroslar EDAŞ 48 hours in advance.
On the other hand, users can also access these announcements as well as information on the existing and future scheduled outages through Toroslar EDAŞ Mobile 186 application and 186 Call Centre.
