Toroslar Elektrik Dağıtım Anonim Şirketi (Toroslar EDAŞ) has the goal to meet the increasing energy demand of the region uninterruptedly and in high quality with its investment projects carried out in Hatay. As part of the project, the company initiated this giant project, which amounts to an investment of TL 6.2 million, in Arsuz district in June.
With the goal to increase the energy supply security of the region through the investment to be carried out in the Nardüzü neighbourhood of the Arsuz District in Hatay, Toroslar EDAŞ will increase the capacity of the network in the region, considering the future energy demand.
Toroslar EDAŞ moved the HV overhead line in the region underground, with the goal to provide higher quality and uninterrupted energy to local people. The investment works will be completed by September 2022.
Whilst the overall purpose was to improve supply continuity through the investments carried out on the distribution lines so that the distribution network would not be affected by adverse weather conditions; the existing HV overhead network line were replaced with the underground lines, LV overhead lines were replaced and new substations were installed.
The length of the excavation works to be carried out by Toroslar EDAŞ at various locations as part of the project will exceed 5 kilometres. Network elements that have completed their economic life in the region will be removed and replaced with 5,500 metres of underground HV line, 240 pcs. of galvanized LV poles carrying the distribution lines, and 7,300 metres of LV line to be included in the network.
In electricity distribution infrastructure investments, power cuts are scheduled in advance by Toroslar EDAŞ for the safety of field workers. To avoid any adverse impact on customers, these scheduled outages are announced on the website of Toroslar EDAŞ 48 hours in advance. On the other hand, users can also access these announcements as well as information on the existing and future scheduled outages through Toroslar EDAŞ Mobile 186 application and 186 Call Centre.
