As one of the 3 electricity distribution companies which achieved the highest amount of investment in 2024, Toroslar EDAŞ invested approximately 290 million TL in Hatay, a city located in the southernmost part of Türkiye, which has hosted several civilizations throughout history and is currently undergoing reconstruction following the devastating earthquake that occurred in 2023, in the first six months of 2025 to rehabilitate the energy infrastructure to meet requirements of today, while also preparing the infrastructure for the increasing demands of the future.

Sustaining its efforts to provide high-quality and uninterrupted energy service and its energy investments, which are of critical importance in the reconstruction of the city following the devastating earthquake, Toroslar EDAŞ completed maintenance works of 23,320 lighting fixtures, by a year-on-year increase of 72%, 2,133-km-long cables by a year-on-year increase of 60%, 149 distribution centers and 251 substations by a year-on-year increase of 89%, in Antakya, Altınözü, Arsuz, Belen, Defne, Dörtyol, Erzin, Hassa, İskenderun, Kırıkhan, Kumlu, Payas, Reyhanlı, Samandağ and Yayladağı districts of Hatay, in the first half of 2025. As part of new investments, the company also strengthened its energy infrastructure by installing 547-km-long cable lines, by a year-on-year increase of 23%, and successfully completed the installation of 6,338 new lighting fixtures, by a year-on-year increase of 24%, 245 new panels, and 158 new substations, by a year-on-year increase of 37%.
Sustaining its efforts to establish a sustainable and better future, Toroslar EDAŞ enhanced its measures to protect forest areas from wildfires in Hatay, where over 38 percent of the city is covered with forests considering its surface area.
The company, which completed the maintenance works on electricity distribution lines in the region, has accelerated the use of fire-risk-reducing materials and laid gravel or poured lean concrete under poles within forest areas.
Thanks to the ongoing and coordinated efforts of the company together with public institutions and organizations to combat possible wildfires in the region, Toroslar EDAŞ supported the efforts through controlled power outages and put relentless efforts to identify and swiftly replace the damaged energy infrastructure.
