Continuing its operations with the goal of offering uninterrupted and sustainable energy service, Toroslar EDAŞ sustained its maintenance, repair and investment efforts in Mersin, a significant hub for international commerce, in 2024. The company rehabilitated and improved its energy infrastructure, while also prioritizing the digital transformation and customer-oriented projects.
Toroslar EDAŞ, one of the three distribution companies together with Ayedaş and Başkent EDAŞ operating under Enerjisa Distribution Companies which place sustainability to the core of its business strategy, develop people- and technology-oriented projects and lead the energy transformation in Türkiye by completing investments, carried out many more successful activities in 2024 to supply more reliable and uninterrupted energy to more than one million customers in Mersin.
Providing services at 12,503 substations and on 44,077-kilometer-long energy line in Mersin, Toroslar EDAŞ continued its repair & maintenance works as well as its investments to supply sustainable and uninterrupted energy. Moreover, the company sustained its efforts in digital transformation and actions to reduce its carbon footprint.
Strengthening the infrastructure in Mersin to ensure uninterrupted energy
In line with its vision to have a better-lit city and to minimize adverse impacts of seasonal and geographical conditions, the company completed the maintenance works for a total of 15,587 lighting fixtures in Akdeniz, Mezitli, Yenişehir, Toroslar, Anamur, Aydıncık, Bozyazı, Silifke, Tarsus, Çamlıyayla, Erdemli, Gülnar and Mut districts. Moreover, the company strengthened its energy infrastructure with the maintenance works completed at 49 panels, 411 substations and 575 distribution centers. In the same period, the company carried out maintenance works for 2,750-kilometer-long lines, contributing to sustainable energy distribution.
Successfully achieving the investment goals in 2024, Toroslar EDAŞ completed the laying of 509-kilometer-long new cables and the installation of 6012 new lighting fixtures in order to provide uninterrupted and high-quality energy to over 1 million customers that the company serves. Furthermore, the company strengthened its infrastructure by installing 498 new electrical panels and 192 substations.
With these maintenance & repair works and investments, Toroslar EDAŞ successfully achieved its goals set for 2024.
